Big Shine Energy made its way to the Javits Center from March 12 to March 13 for the New York Build 2019 Expo. This expo is one of the largest construction and design shows catered to New York City and the tri-state area. Hall 1A was busy with exhibitors, attendees, and leaders in the construction industry. More than 180 speakers from various corners of the construction world took the stage to share their knowledge and professional experiences with the attendees.
Lighting specialists and engineers from Big Shine USA attended the expo and introduced the newest LED technologies to the different sectors in construction. Big Shine had the chance to educate industry leaders on LED quality and its turnkey service. LED quality aligned with the expo’s approach to sustainability. The advantages of LED are evident and can significantly impact the energy consumption in both commercial and residential buildings of the Big Apple.
A substantial portion of the expo centered a lot around discussions on sustainability, resilience and future construction. Climate change is a serious matter. It has greatly affected New York City, especially following the major impact after Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Big Shine takes the lead in promoting a carbon neutral environment with energy-efficient solid-state lighting. The #ApproachingZero Campaign, launched in 2015, has reduced more than
45 million kWh. In 2019, Big Shine has a goal to reduce 110 million kWh in the United States alone. As an international corporation, we put emphasis on our corporate responsibility to reach global sustainability.
