Woodrow Wilson Plaza LED Bollard Upgrade

Case Studies  |  Commercial LED Lighting, EV Charging Stations

Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center

Big Shine Energy worked with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to complete a design-build project at the Ronald Reagan Federal Building. The project involved lighting upgrades in the Woodrow Wilson Plaza and EV charging stations in the building’s parking garage. Many of the previously existing bollards in the Plaza were inoperable and did not properly illuminate the Cherry Blossom trees during the spring. The new Big Shine LED bollards not only provide better illumination for the pathway but also provide 10% uplight. In the garage, BSE installed six dual-port Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations on multiple levels with their associated electrical infrastructure, including 75 kVA transformers, AC disconnects, and panelboards.
