On October 3, 2019 Big Shine Energy participated in PSE&G Long Island’s Energize Long Island conference as a speaker, exhibitor and Bronze sponsor. With this triple- advantage, Big Shine reached a wide gamut of Long Island’s business owners, developers, building operators, energy-efficient to showcase the latest in energy-efficient LED lighting. Patrons enjoyed a full day of workshops, one-on-one expos, and networking. Big Shine Energy representatives were among the crowd eager to pass on their LED knowledge.
2020 Lighting Workshop
Under the morning workshop “A Look at 2020 Lighting,” Big Shine CTO, August Kruesi presented the technology behind LED lighting and controls, and their impacts on the environment and your wallet.
Using Big Shine LED fixtures as examples, Kruesi gave the audience an idea of the right kind of luminaries to look for when considering quality and customization, like the bi-level controls on our Alma fixture and integral photocell capabilities on our Sagitta X area light. Kruesi also touched on the ins and outs of lighting controls, proper LED retrofit preparation and planning, and things to look out for before purchasing and installing LED lights. Workshop participants walked away with a comprehensive understanding of how to make the right choice when switching to energy-efficient LED lighting.

Representatives from Big Shine’s corporate headquarters gave live demos and Q&A sessions at the Big Shine Energy booth. Visitors received hands-on education and learned about Big Shine’s unique total turnkey solution and custom-made fixtures, fit for any indoor and outdoor facility. Interested listeners got to explore Big Shine’s 7-step turnkey business model and how it leads to a more energy-efficient conclusion and healthier environment.
